Welcome to Five Points

As one of Denver’s most storied neighborhoods, Five Points is an extension of downtown spanning portions of River North, Ballpark, and Curtis Park. Its namesake refers to the five-way intersection of Welton Street, Washington Street, Twenty-Seventh Street, and East Twenty-Sixth Avenue. According to the historical records, it originated in 1881 when streetcar signs could not fit all the names for the terminus. Today, Five Points is where old meets new. A place that fully embraces diversity and celebrates its musical roots which began with jazz legends like Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, and Miles Davis.

Residents enjoy live music at the annual Five Points Jazz Festival and pass the time at the Blair-Caldwell African American Research Library. Five Points is also where Denverites dine on soul food and regulars are made at barbecue joints. Housing is eclectic, offering a wide range of stately Victorians and Denver squares to newly renovated condos and single-family residences.
